Black Mirror Reflection: The Land Down Under

The Land Down Under
By Abby Vance

In the year 3000, civilians live under water because it is dangerous to live on land where humans – obsessed with technology and videogaming – drive motorized vehicles as if they were video-game controls.

People in these vehicles chase other vehicles to destroy them vying for total control of the world.

Luckily, the people living “in the land down under,” don’t have to worry about the danger above. There is no need for huge oxygen tanks. They have created a device implanted in humans that enables them to breathe under water.

Unfortunately, the lone survivor living on land will live in solitude the rest of his life.
